They chose a handful of places in the touristic area of Punta Cana: Paradissus Palma Real for the stay, Westin hotel for the Get Ready, a small nice chapel in Cap Cana for the ceremony, and Playa Blanca in the Punta Cana Resort and Club premises for the reception and party.
This work was particularly interesting because we shot in so many different spaces, and all of those places are absolutely gorgeous and offer a stunning visual background. There were around a 80 guests attending, mainly from Colombia. They could enjoy a day full of magic and love. As we normally do, we started our job in the groom room where he was being helped by his mum and brother.
Lina Castillo was the designer for his wedding suit. Then we moved to an amazing and sunny suite in Westin Hotel, there was the bride with many friends and family members. They were celebrating with champagne and the atmosphere was very nice! The bride was dressed by Pronovias and the make up artist was Anna Nuet.
After some family photos we moved to Cap Cana Fishing Lodge Chapel where the catholic ceremony was taking place. This place is amazing and has a fantastic view over the channel and the sea. Built in stones with glass decors that really creates an unforgettable atmosphere.
The ceremony was so intimate with live religious musical interpretation and amazing evening golden hour light! As soon as they were declared husband and wife we did some group pictures with very nice Marina views.
Then we move to the restaurant in where the dinner and party took place. The big surprise was the show from one of the most famous Merengue singer Sergio Vargas who made everyone dance and enjoy for hours!
All the guests knew by hearth all the songs and he was cheered enthusiastically! The party continued for some hours more with tropical dancers and some other surprises. I went back home with one idea on my head… “Damn, Colombians know how to party…”.
