JORGE AND CAROLINA; HONEYMOON IN PUNTA CANA
This was our last photo session before Mathew hurricane arrived to Dominican Republic. The weather was so cloudy and a bit windy, and it was goint to get worse so… we had to shoot on that day!
Danielle And Preston wanted a candid and romantic photosession, so as to celebrate their honeymoon. With a great style, they had chosen their appearence carefully and they combined perfectly with each other. We absolutely loved her dress, lightweight and perfect for capturing wind movement. On his side, a white shirt emphasized his colorful tattoos.
We started our photo session with some portraits and, later on, couple pictures in different areas of the beach, surrounded by palm trees. We continued with some detail shots and we finished with some action images with them running along the beach!
We are very happy with the results and we hope you enjoy this pictures as much as we enjoyed making them! Thanks for trusting us even with this very bad weather!
Brandi and Andre said yes recently. They arrived to Punta Cana and they booked a Saona photoshooting experience with us, to bring home nice honeymoon memories from the beautiful island. We were sure it would be a success to shoot there, as the place captures wonderfully colors in the Dominican Republic.
We picked the couple at the Reserve in Paradissus Punta Cana, and we drove to Bayahibe. They were amazed to see the country as it really looks like. We arrived to Bayahibe where our friends Hector and Michael were waiting for us after setting up the speedboat, we bought the Park bracelets and there we go, half speed to Saona in our own private boat.
The ride is of about one hour, along a shining blue turquoise sea on sunny days. At the arrival it is very easy to hop off the boat and wet your clothes a bit, so it is better not to sail with the photo session costumes on. We started the session with our couple around 15 minutes after the arrival warming up a little bit with the easiest shots. Then we started trying different things to get different a mix of results that would work for the idea we had in mind. We shot for almost 90 minutes and rested a bit to recover our strengths.
We shot the other part of the session for two more hours, trying different places and different role plays with those great guys in our wonderful natural scenario. Brandi was so excited about the photo shoot during the whole day and made great friends with Maria, that helped on this session. Andre was always helpful, setting the pace and not loosing it, and he was fantastic at following any ideas we wanted to develop.
I think it was a great day for all of us. It ended around 7 00PM at the Mirador de Bayahibe with the last sunset photos. If you want to know more of the story, you need to know how it feels and see for yourself, Saona is a great travel and photography experience.
Erica and Britt just goy married and are having their honeymoon in Dominicus, Bayahibe. They wanted a set of romantic and fun caribbean photos for the occasion. We decided to shoot in a virgin beach near their resort. Beaches in Dominicus are wild, sand and rock mix, and the vegetation is close to the water. This is great both for beach and “palms around me” photos, as you don’t have to walk much to get both at the same time in front of you. It helps to bring a lot more varied backgrounds and mixes to the photo collection. Working with Erica and Britt was so great, we really enjoyed them being spontaneous and there was so much chemistry between them that it was easy to capture their feelings and passion. They proved to have a great sense of humour, they were having a good time playing the different attitudes and moods we asked them and this is something you see on the results. It was really happy to meet them.
One of our last photo sessions took place near Dreams Punta Cana Hotel in Uvero Alto, 30 kilometers from Punta Cana. Uvero Alto is an area that enjoys splendid beaches and wonderful spots that are incredible for a shooting, and that will turn your memories into a fantastic tropical dream. We had the opportunity to shoot a beach photo session near Punta Cana for Ania and Adam who recently married and were wonderful people to work with.
